Hello! My name is Seneca and I am a multidisciplinary artist located in north central West Virginia. I am a 2020 graduate of the University of Charleston, where I earned my BA in Graphic Design.
Artist Statement
Most artists take pride in identifying themes of their art. They work to establish a style and pursue it, but I am the very opposite. For years I tried to distinguish myself with an idea to follow as I advanced in school. Nothing resonated with me. I find inspiration from my interests and my surroundings. Realistic elements can be identified in my work, but every piece is different. That trend has continued for as long as I can remember. Studio art was my first passion. However, around the age of ten, I decided that graphic design was best for me. It combined my interests of art and computers, making graphic design what I wanted to pursue as a career. Additionally, mediums such as digital art, drawing, painting, and photography are still frequently used outlets of mine. The variety of things that I can create is what I have chosen to make as my “style”. I have thrived and succeeded off my philosophy of, “if you can think it, I can make it”.
